When I'm really not sure, and I need the reassurance that you like me, I think of all the nice things you've done for me. I pile memories upon memories into one corner of my brain, and think 'isn't that enough?'. And then I think of the things you have done for her. Or maybe just one thing you have done for her. And that one thing over powers my many reasons.

Because I'm just not sure, and there are no painkillers for the tummy ache uncertainty brings. Because wherever I am, wherever you are, she'll always be there as well. I thought about this today - the chances of me being with you are impossible. So why, when we know that it will never happen, just want it even more?

WHERE ARE WE NOW.
Some things can't be the same and I don't want some things to be the same, but I do want some things to stay the same. I want to dance in the rain with you, and I would want us to stay the same if we ever had an us, but we are you and me. We aren't us, and all the wrong people want to dance in the rain with me. I'd dance with them, but I'd sing with you. I don't know if you'd dance with me, or sing with me. Take me to the February rain so we can live in it forever. Forever never ends for me, when does it end? Is it on your calender? Am I on your calender?
You used to want to dance with me, but then I didn't want to dance. I actually DID, but I didn't know I wanted to. Now you may, or you may not, but I know I do. I actually want you to dance in the rain with me. I don't know where our past goes, or where THE past goes, but I'm trying to find our past and where things got complicated. Did things ever get complicated, or am I making them complicated? Because I need you more than I want you, and you want me more than you need me. You're the rain I dance in, I am your dance. So padlock our lips and handcuff our hands, bring on the war.
I'd laugh 'til I cried, you'd get out of your mind, and we'd both be alive and surreal. I want white light on our faces and grey rain on our lips. Don't you want this? Don't you need this? Where are we now? Just look at where we are now.
